As we announced shortly after the launch of WildStar: Reloaded, we opened additional servers to help us deal with overwhelming demand for the game—despite our intent to have everyone housed on a single “megaserver.” Our scaling technology needed some additional work, and we’ve reached a point with that work where we’re confident we can bring everyone back together onto one PvE and one PvP server per-region, and still maintain a high quality game experience.

That said, it’s still a very complex operation, so we’re going to be approaching it in stages; starting with the North America Warhound and Warhound-2 servers, and EU Luminai and Luminai-2 servers.

On Monday, November 9 starting at 6pm PST / 9pm EST / 2am UTC, all EU servers will be down for approximately half an hour. Luminai and Luminai-2 will be down for approximately two hours to bring players on each set of servers back together.

Then, on Tuesday, November 10 starting at 12am PST / 3am EST / 8am UTC, all NA servers will be down for approximately half an hour. Warhound and Warhound-2 will be down for approximately two hours to bring each set of servers back together.

The schedule for the other server groupings will be dependent on our relative success with Warhound and Luminai, and we’ll post those downtimes and information in our forums, as well as on our support page and@WildStarOps Twitter account as soon as we have them.

FAQ

Q: What will happen to my character, my guild, and all my stuff?
A: Nothing! The primary consideration for the new servers (aside from them being a temporary concurrency fix) was that when we brought everyone back together, there wouldn’t be any naming conflicts. Everything remains exactly as it is before realms come down, and all guilds, arena teams, circles, mail and auction items will be retained and remain as they were.

Q: Will the merging of the realms affect my Raid Progression / Lockout IDs?
A: Your Raid Progression and lockout ID’s should not be affected at all.

Q: If I have more characters across both servers than I’m allowed at my account level, what happens?
A: We’ll continue to allow you to access all of your characters, regardless of the amount your account level allows. For example, if you have the base restriction of two characters per server, and you have two characters on Entity and two characters on Entity-2, you’ll continue to be able to play all four characters. However, if you ever delete those characters you will not retain the additional character slot/s without Signature or a purchased character slot increase.

Q: Will I lose any settings or options?
A: If you have characters on a “-2” realm, your UI settings will still be in their old folder with the wrong server name after the transfer. You can choose to either set your UI up again, or copy your old ones into the new folder. You can view your Addon and settings folders by opening a Run dialog (Windows + R) typing in “%appdata%\NCSOFT\WildStar” and pressing enter.
