Gestern, am 3. November, gab es für den PTR von WildStar ein Update, welches einige Änderungen mit sich brachte. Die Entwickler haben dazu im offiziellen Forum auch schon die Patchnotes veröffentlicht.

Below is the complete list of features for our newest PTR update, which includes a whole lot of new things to check out! Please help us out by testing all of the new features before they go live and give us your feedback here on the PTR forums. Also, if you’re wondering how to get on the PTR to test all the things – check out our handy dandy guide below the features.

    • Northern Wastes, Star-Comm Basin, the Bay of Betrayal of Adventure, and the Daggerstone Pass battleground now have level up unlock entries.
    • F interact will now choose mouse over targets if they are within range. If not within range, F interact will choose the closest interactive target. If neither of the above is true, it will choose the player’s target

          • Base: GCD reduced to 0.5s and now has 2 charges.

        • Hypercharge
          • Shield heal reduced to 51.0% Support Power and 33.14 per level, from 88.0% and 57.15.
          • Your direct shield heals grant an immunity to Overload for 3s.

          • Additional shield restore now triggers off of all direct shield heals.
          • Combat log now prints a unique line for Reboot.

        • Regenerative Pulse
          • Now evaluates the caster as a valid target, and no longer affects pets.
        • Vitality Burst
          • C1 base heal reduced to 28.55% Support Power and 15.2325 per level, from 38.07% and 20.31 per level
          • C1 heal per tier upgrade reduced to 3.92% Support Power, from 5.23%
          • C2 cost reduced by 25%
          • C2 cooldown reduced to 2s, from 4s.
          • C3 cooldown reduced to 4s, from 8s.

          • Reduced duration to 5s, down from 6s.

          • T4: Reduces the cooldown of Nano Virus by 2s when used.

          • Increased base damage to 13.17*lvl + 30.27% SP + 2.04% SP*tier, up from 9.82*lvl + 22.55% SP + 1.51% SP*tier.
        • Steadfast
          • Now grants 100% chance to deflect incoming attacks for 1.5s + 0.125s*tier. This buff is removed if Stunned or Knocked Down. Now starts with 2 ability charges. Regenerates 1 charge every 30s.
      • AMPs
        • Regeneration
          • Has been reworked! Now generates 2 Suit Power every 1s for 6s after Deflecting an attack.
  • Content
    • Alpha Sanctum
      • The Alpha Sanctum now has a zone map
      • The area of effect of The Curator’s „Live Wire“ spell has been adjusted.
    • Auroria
      • Filthy Exile Spies can now be killed when discovered in „Outing the Mole.“
      • Settler Project quests in Auroria updated for stat changes.
    • Contracts
      • Alizar Annihilations and Olyssia Obliteraion will now provide Epic Contract Commissions and Protostar Promissory Notes upon completion
      • Progenitor Access Particles have a chance to be found in Tier 2 and Tier 3 Contract Commission bags.
    • Exile Arkship
      • Adjusted the teleport location for the Greenhouse to avoid players getting stuck in props.
    • Farside
      • The Farside Public Event „Arm a Geddon“ has had it’s visuals updated, placing beacons now gives credit, as does killing things. Difficulty has also been rebalanced.
    • Malgrave
      • Locations for the Malgrave quest ‚WANTED: A Deep, Dark Hole‘ has been updated.
    • Public Event
      • Many Level 50 Public Events now have the chance to award Progenitor Access Particles.
  • Dungeons
    • Adjusted XP from objectives in Kel Voreth and Sanctuary of the Swordmaiden
    • Users will properly get loot notifcations for Loot obtained from Dungeon lockboxes.
    • Progenitor Access Particles now have a chance to drop upon successful completion of a Veteran Dungeon.
    • Protogames Academy
      • (Veteran) The Deathless in the Dungeon challenge now properly appears in the UI.
    • Sanctuary of the Swordmaiden
      • Two waves of corrupted enemies can no longer spawn at the same time during Selene’s Ritual in the Inner Sanctum.
    • Skullcano
      • Mordechai Redmoon
        • Slowed down the missile speed slightly for the Molten Gold pools.
        • Reduced the size of the vFX for Molten Gold pools to better fit in the telegraph.
        • Added a wave to the telegraph for Molten Gold pools.
        • Should no longer sometimes reset floating over the laval pit.
        • Spaced out Molten Gold pools slightly.
    • Ultimate Protogames
      • Players can no longer get the instance stuck when Voild Slipping or Stealthing during Bubbles‘ fight in the Squirgnasium.

      • Players now have much more time to hack the signal relay before it fails.
  • PVP

      • The Cryo-Plex has arrived in the fullness of its glory!
    • Battlegrounds
      • Overhealing will no longer count towards the healing stat in Battleground
      • Daggerstone Pass
        • Increased Prestige earned for winning by ~157% and participation by ~140%.
        • Increased XP earned for winning by ~92% and participation by ~61%.
      • Halls of the Bloodsworn
        • Increased XP earned for winning and participation by ~35%.
        • Increased Prestige earned for winning and participation by ~12%.
      • Walatiki Temple
        • Increased XP earned for winning and participation by ~67%.
        • Increased Prestige earned for winning and participation by ~100%.
    • Items
      • Lesser Inspiration of the Aggressors have made their way back into PvP loot bags and the PvP General Goods vendor.
  • Raids
    • Datascape
      • The current legacy ilvl 120 weapon variants haven been added back into loot tables.
  • Tutorials
    • Fixed an issue where the vehicle action bar tutorial would also display a separate blank tutorial window
  • Economy
    • Auction House/Commodity Exchange
      • Some placeholder and test items have been removed from the menu.
    • Items
      • Rune extraction now has a gold cost
      • Consumables
        • Players who have used a Flask of Fame will no longer be able to achieve friendly status with certain neutral factions. Players who have already gotten into this state and cannot complete content will eventually have their reputation reset with these factions so they may get out of this state.
        • Fixed a bug that could potentially cause flasks to drop off sooner than expected
      • Rune Sets
        • Fixed an issue where bot ability cooldowns blocked resummoning with the Technician Class Rune Set.
        • Resource Probes
          • (8) Power buff stacks are now properly removed when an ally leaves the instance.
      • Runes
        • Runes can now be extracted for gold.
    • Runecrafting
      • Stormtalon’s Eye, Forgemaster Trogun’s Burning Ember, Mordechai Redmoon’s Ammunition, and Spiritmother Selene’s Heart can now be upgraded to item levels 100 and 120.
    • Tradeskills
      • The quest directions for the quest „Bramble Basics“ have been fixed.
      • Salvage
        • The number of rune fragments received from salvaging items has been corrected.
  • Housing
    • Players now receive the same Rest XP bonus both outside and inside their houses while logged off on the housing sky map.
    • Added safeguards to prevent users from accidentally creating infinite loops when linking decor.
    • Decor
      • Numerous Decor names updated for style or consistency.
      • Fixed an issue where a change to decor would later revert if the player changed only the size of the object without also changing either the position or orientation of the decor.
      • Housing: Users will no longer encounter an invalid decor visual when attempting to place 51/50 special decor items.
    • Fabkit
      • Protostar Mini-House is now a consumable item that unlocks permanently for a single character.
  • Itemization
    • Hycrest Elite Chestguard has been renamed to Hycrest Elite Leg Guards to keep the name appropriate to the item type.
    • Fixed an issue with the tooltip of the gadget Joint Defense.
  • User Interface
    • Windows in the Pets UI can no longer be moved.
    • Addons
      • NPC’s dialog windows for quests now support displaying multiple currencies for rewards
      • Action Bar
        • Fixed an issue where docked action bar was hidden.
      • Challenge Log
        • The Challenge Log will now open to the current zone.
      • Character Panel
        • The simplified stat readouts now have tooltips with better descriptions
      • Content Finder
        • The recommended item level for expeditions, adventures, and dungeons are now shown in the Content Finder.
      • CraftingLib
        • Updated GetEngravingInfo. The tClearInfo table now includes the „monExtractGoldCost“ variable. This is the cost to extract a rune from a slot using credits.
      • Guild Roster
        • Fixed an error when interacting with guild roster controls when no guild member selected.
      • Holo Wardrobe
        • Fixed an issue that prevented players from unlocking dyes while the Holo-Wardrobe was open
      • Mail
        • Fixed an issue where read mail was not being marked as read.
      • Objective Tracker
        • Explorer Cartography missions will show up in the Objective Tracker again
      • QuestTracker
        • IsBreadcrumb will now return whether or not the quests type is breadcrumb.
      • Runecrafting
        • Players will now receive an error if they attempt to change a rune slot type multiple times before the first request completes.
      • Store
        • Updated model animations for previewing costumes.
        • Players will no longer be kicked for being AFK while browsing the Store
      • Unit
        • Updated GetFaction() to no longer take a boolean argument. This functionality can now be found in GameLib.GetPlayerBaseFaction()
    • Apollo API
      • ActionConfirmButton
        • Updated the parameters for the RuneSlotClear button type. The new parameters are (GameLib.CodeEnumConfirmButtonType.RuneSlotClear, itemSource, nSlotIndex, bExtractRune, bUseServiceTokens). If the final parameter is set to „false“, then the operation will require credits.
        • Updated the RuneSlotCleared button event to include bUseServiceTokens as its third output value. This parameter informs Lua if the operaction used service tokens or credits.
      • GameLib
        • New function: GetPlayerBaseFaction(). This function returns the player’s base faction.
      • GuildLib
        • Added a function called GetMyPvpRatings which returns the calling player’s Wins, Losses, Draws, and the percent participation
    • Content Finder
      • Added the number of games played by a Warparty and Arena Team to their respective parts of the Content Finder.
      • Fixed an issue that could prevent a player from being able to queue for a match.


More About How to Test on PTR

Here’s some very important information regarding our closed beta and the test environment:

  • There are no region restrictions, so North American and European players can play on the same realm together.
  • Currently, there is no CS support. Unfortunately due to the fluid nature of the environment, we cannot offer our usual Customer Support backing – no item restorations, etc.
  • No “home” play! Because this environment receives very early game builds, sometimes data can become corrupt. In order to ensure we have a sterile area with little chance of unusable data, sometimes character wipes will happen.
  • There is no guaranteed uptime on the test server. Partly because of potential issues, and partly due to testing schedules, the test server may not always be available, or may suddenly go offline with little-to-no warning. We will do our best to give you as much advanced warning as possible.
  • Only Active Accounts! You must have a valid game subscription/existing game time in order to access the test realm at this time. However, have no fear – during different phases of testing we will be inviting a broader audience (many with little to no experience with WildStar) to test much of the content already on the test server.

Now that you’ve decided to help out and test an upcoming patch, why don’t you download and install test client as this client is not compatible with your normal WildStar client. Once it patches, jump in the game and create your character!

Here’s where the fun begins! While the early game experience is always good to test, sometimes our changes affect Elder Game content. Instead of having you level all the way up to level 50, why not take advantage of our special Cheat Service? This feature is only available to our currently subscribed players.

Once you load into the Arkship (your faction selection doesn’t matter), turn to your left and NPC Marissa Scarn will be waiting for you. After talking to her, she will port you to the “Core Test Hub,” which is just a fancy name for where we dump you in Illium or Thayd.

Once in your faction city, you should have another special NPC, Michael Scarn, waiting for you nearby. And BLAMO! With his Infinite Cosmic Powers, you’re now level 50, with 41 ability points, 45 AMP power, and 10 platinum to use all for yourself. But don’t run off just yet! You gotta get your gear!

Just past Michael, the Booster NPC, is “Bev-O-Loot” – a huge robot vending machine. But don’t fear this one…this one is special. It’s a vendor in disguise, and it’s full of loot! Bags, AMPS, level 50 weapons and armor…all waiting for YOU! Also specially discounted for the PTR (even though we just gave you 10 plat!). How can you go wrong? Wait…don’t answer that.

Alternatively, you can also copy one (or several) of your live characters over to the test server! Simply log into the desired character you wish to copy, and within the chat window type „/ptrcopy“. You’ll receive a system message confirming that your request has been queued, and after several moments, an in-game mail will be sent confirming that your character has been copied over to the server — items and all!
